Financial Outcomes

At Take Control, our disease management model and outcomes are superior to our competitors, allowing for a generous return on investment. We utilize the services of data aggregation companies to monitor the health care costs of all of our participants. Medical and pharmacy claims data is gathered and compared to a like group of cohorts. These medical and pharmacy costs are reflected in per member per month costs. The data below combines medical and pharmacy costs after Take Control expenses are removed, and is an example of one company’s results using our program:

Risk Reduction Program (RRP): Per Member Per Month Cost Savings

Average per member per month savings:

Year 1
$14

Year 2

Year 3

Year 1

These figures are based on past account performance and are not a guarantee of future performance.

Other Findings:

Our data shows that our business clients have seen significant reductions in emergency room visits, hospital admissions, and hospital length of stay. There have been many studies done on the savings benefits that Disease Management programs provide for medical costs.  But other expense areas that also see cost savings include reduced absence and disability; fewer on-the-job safety incidents and worker’s compensation claims; and reductions in on-the-job productivity losses (presenteeism.)
